J. Cole’s new Dreamville compilation Revenge of the Dreamers III is out this Friday. The record was made earlier this year over the span of 10 days at Tree Sound Studios in Atlanta. Artists outside the label’s roster—including Vince Staples, BJ the Chicago Kid, Swizz Beatz, Kenny Beats, and more—received public invitations to participate in the sessions. Today, Dreamville shared a new documentary called Revenge, which captures the sessions behind the new album. Watch it below.

Revenge shows the competitive nature of the sessions, with rappers trying to get a spot on a producer’s track while producers vied for a spot in the limited studio space. J. Cole opens up at one point about having a hard time writing in that environment because he was switching between an “executive” role and an “artist” role.

The new album follows 2015’s Revenge of the Dreamers II. It features the previously shared songs “Down Bad,” “Got Me,” “Costa Rica,” and “Lambo Truck.”
