Whethan has been one of my favorite artists of all time ever since his XE3 Flip, which was released under the old spelling “Wheathin”
Since then, Whethan has been on an absolute tear in the electronic music scene, releasing hilarious content, great music, and putting on amazing shows. He even combined all three when he brought the famous Walmart Yodeler, Mason Ramsey on stage with him at Coachella.
Today, Whethan released his E.P. Life Of A Wallflower Vol. 1 and it’s absolutely incredible.
The E.P. opens up with its name sake, Wallflower, and then continues with my favorite song off the E.P. – Radar (feat. HONNE,) which is an absolute vibe. Whethan takes HONNE’s already incredible vocals, chops them up, and makes them a piece of art that is reminiscent of a summer hit. Not to mention, this track has a hilarious music video.
The E.P. then sandwiches a new unreleased track, Together, between two hits in Superlove (feat. Oh Wonder) and Good Nights (feat. Mascolo.)
The E.P. finishes off with the more ominous hit Be Like You, which he has been playing out at bunch of his shows, and then another unreleased song by the name of I Miss You.
While it’s been said time and time again, it’s important to reiterate that Whethan is only 19 years old, which means, to our knowledge, this is just the start of what looks to be a prestigious musical career.
