Country star Zach Bryan has shared a new five song EP called Boys of Faith. The title track features Bon Iver. The new EP comes on the heels of his No. 1 album Zach Bryan. Listen to the EP and the Justin Vernon–featuring title track below.

Boys of Faith features Noah Kahan on “Sarah’s Place.” In addition, Rob Moose plays fiddle on “Sarah’s Place,” as well as “Nine Ball” and “Pain, Sweet, Pain.” He’s credited with strings on “Boys of Faith,” too.

In his recent review of Zach Bryan for Pitchfork, Sam Sodomsky wrote, “From the cozy tape hiss to the muted trumpets throughout, you get the sense that Bryan holds a copy of For Emma, Forever Ago very close to his heart.”

In fact, Bryan, in 2016, shared online a clip of himself covering “Skinny Love.” He’s also shown his admiration for “The Wolves (Act I and II),” “Towers,” and the Wish I Was Here cut “Heavenly Father.” Recently, Bryan wrote, “bon iver is such a generational act and such a genius in my eyes if you guys only understood how far this goes back for me and if you understood he’s the reason I started playing music that meant somethin’.”

The new song is the latest in a prolific 2023 for Justin Vernon collaborations, and that’s not even including the sample of his work on Kendrick Lamar and Baby Keem’s “The Hillbillies.” He’s appeared on new records by Lonnie Holley, the National, Rob Moose, Ilsey, and Travis Scott.
