Every music publication and chart will have various opinions of the #1 dance song of the year (us included) — but it’s hard to argue with Billboard. According to the prestigious Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, Zedd lands the top spot.

“The Middle” with Maren Morris and Grey was undisputedly one of the biggest crossover tracks of 2018. The collaborators found their perfect mix, an infectious beat, and ridiculously catchy lyrics to send the song straight to the top.

Runners up include Selena Gomez & Marshmello with their hit collaboration “Wolves” and The Chainsmokers & Coldplay with “Something Just Like This,” coming in at 2 and 3. They are followed by Calvin Harris & Dua Lipa‘s “One Kiss” at 4 and Marshmello shows up again at the 5 spot with “Silence” featuring Khalid.

One thing is for sure — 2018 was all about the collaborations. Shoutout to all the artists who made the top 100 on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, including Alison Wonderland, Odesza, Avicii, deadmau5, and so many more. See the full list here.
