Avicii is still winning awards after his passing. According to a report, the late producer recently won an honorary award during the Grammy Gala in Sweden.

His father, Klas Bergling, accepted the award on behalf of his son. He started up the tearful tribute by reminiscing on Tim Bergling just as he remembered him. Described as friendly with a sense of humor and a serious nature, Tim was also very humble and stubborn, his father said.

Klas delivered a bittersweet speech for the occasion, translated in part as follows… “We have received so much love and support from his fans, partners from the music industry and his friends. His music is played in new forums and in new interpretations. We are very proud of that…

“When it came to the music, he was on the verge of obsessed to reach the optimal he had imagined. It could be demanding for many who worked with him. He was a shy person who didn’t want to be in the center and he had a hard time with the official role. He had a need to withdraw, find peace and find himself — something that many of us probably recognize.”

Avicii passed away on April 20, 2018, but has continued to have a great impact on the music industry.
